Trump - The World is in Disbelief

As the prospect of Donald Trump winning the Republican Party’s presidential nomination grew more realistic, the questions became more common: what would it say to the rest of the world if Americans elected Trump to the White House? Just how much damage would such an election do the United States’ credibility?

U.S. officials said it was highly unusual for foreign diplomats to express concern, even privately, about candidates in the midst of a presidential campaign. U.S. allies in particular usually don’t want to be seen as meddling in domestic politics, mindful that they will have to work with whoever wins.

Senior leaders in several countries – including Britain, Mexico, France, and Canada – have already made public comments criticizing Trump’s positions. German Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel branded him a threat to peace and prosperity in an interview published on Sunday.

Robert Reich on Voters Rights

A few moments ago, in the lobby of the hotel I'm staying at in Washington, I ran into an old friend who’s become a conservative Republican. He’s incensed at the news that billionaire investor George Soros has committed $5 million to lawsuits attacking voting restrictions put in place by Republican-led legislatures and governors -- including ID requirements and limits on early voting. “You criticize the Koch brothers,” he said. “Soros is doing the same thing, but he’s a liberal so you don’t criticize him.”

“There’s a huge difference,” I said. “The Koch brothers’ political machine is spending over $900 million on the 2016 election – much of it to dismantle environmental and safety regulations, and cut taxes on the wealthy, in order to further enrich themselves. Soros is spending $5 million to help preserve the voting rights of the poor, minorities, and young.”

“That’s a lot of crap,” he said. “Soros just wants to give Democrats an advantage, even if it invites voter fraud.”

“Voter fraud is a red herring,” I said. “It’s nearly non-existent. These restrictions were put in place to make it harder for millions of low-income Americans to vote. Soros deserves the thanks of everyone who cares about our democracy. The Koch brothers are intent on stealing our democracy.”

At this point he turned around and walked away, muttering to himself.

Orrin Hatches a Scheme

Orrin Hatches a Scheme that does not exist
That scheme would be the non-existent GOP medical plan

I have family that don't like Obama Care and for the life of me I can't imagine why .... except they have enough money to pay for whatever health care they want.  The GOP does not like it because it's not theirs and has Obama's name on it. This coming Wednesday the Supreme Court is going to decide if the Republican charges that "the Obama administration used the IRS to deliver health insurance subsidies to Americans in violation of the law"

And the GOP replacement plan goes like .... "There are no more ideas to be found; no more detail to be had. This isn’t a plan. It’s the barest possible sketch of some nascent ideas that could, one day, be used as the basis for a plan."

The GOP is about tearing anything Obama or Democrat down and they could give a shit less about average Americans.

The arsonists are in charge

Ted Cruz on Science and Space Subcommittee
James Inhofe on Environment and Public Works Committee

Why republicans love stupid never makes sense to me!! How about Bachman on Intelligence committee! How about all of them collecting salaries and not doing one thing for the country and just bitching about our President who saved us from a depression. Now we'll go through that again!! Yetch! For six years they have done not one constructive thing!!

Those of us who DID vote, trying to get rid of idiots like these, can only curse whatever possessed those who did NOT get out and vote. It's damned hard to prevent a fire from spreading when the rest of the firemen don't show up. Brace yourselves, kiddies, the arsonists are in charge.

How many Republicans does it take?

How many Republicans does it take to change a lightbulb?
None -- they's rather sit in the dark and blame it on Obama

No it's not a joke

Surrounded by the crazies in US Government, mostly the GOP, I just had to create my own space to cut and paste and rant a little
